Music made on tape.

Watch my current production of Lianne Kaye - Glow, produced on 8-track tape machine.
About me …
Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, when music was still predominantly “handmade”, I developed a fascination for guitar music. As a small child, I recorded music from the radio on cassette. I made electric guitars out of cardboard and imagined what it would be like to be a musician.
This fascination has remained until today. Even though I can’t relate much to the production methods (and quality) of the last 20 years. I soak up music that sounds raw, unpolished and human. A rarity in today’s musical landscape. But it exists, and keeping this form of recording alive is something I want to contribute too.
In 2019, I completed my first analogue album production. Since 2022, I have been writing and recording in my own (small) studio (oldoakstudio.de): With lots of analogue technology and an old 8-track tape machine. I just love everything about it – from writing to recording to mixing.
Let the music live!
Let the tape roll!
